Abstract
The disclosure provides a method, a system, and a computer program product for generating map data. The method comprises obtaining, from one or more user equipment, user preference data associated with a region, wherein the user preference data is associated with an indication of at least one of routing of traffic through a region or not routing of traffic through the region. The method may further include calculating, by a processor, an aggregate value for the region based on the obtained user preference data and generating map data indicative of the calculated aggregate value for the region.
Claims14
A computer-implemented method for generating map data, the computer-implemented method comprising:
- rendering a map in a user interface on a display of one or more user equipment;
- receiving, from the one or more user equipment, at least one marked-up location on the map via the user interface;
- obtaining, from the one or more user equipment, user preference data from one or more residents of a region based on the at least one marked-up location, wherein the plurality of residents is separate from a user of at least one subsequent vehicle, wherein the user preference data comprises a vote value for not routing of the traffic through the region, and wherein the traffic is comprised of the at least one subsequent vehicle traveling in the region;
- calculating, by a processor, an aggregate value for the region based on the vote value;
- generating map data indicative of the calculated aggregate value for the region;
- and
- generating a navigation instruction that does not route the traffic through the region based on the calculated aggregated value for the region.
A system for generating map data, the system comprising:
- a memory configured to store computer executable instructions;
- and one or more processors configured to execute the instructions to:
- obtain, from one or more user equipment, user preference data from one or more residents of a region, wherein the plurality of residents is separate from a user of at least one subsequent vehicle, wherein the user preference data comprises a vote value for not routing of the traffic through the region, and wherein the traffic is comprised of the at least one subsequent vehicle traveling in the region;
- calculate, by a processor, an aggregate value for the region based on the vote value;
- generate map data indicative of the calculated aggregate value for the region;
- and
- generate a navigation instruction that does not route the traffic through the region based on the calculated aggregated value for the region.
A non-transitory computer programmable product comprising a non-transitory computer readable medium having stored thereon computer executable instruction which when executed by one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to carry out operations for generating map data, the operations comprising:
- obtaining, from one or more user equipment, user preference data from one or more residents of a region, wherein the plurality of residents is separate from a user of at least one subsequent vehicle, wherein the user preference data comprises a vote value for not routing of the traffic through the region, and wherein the traffic is comprised of the at least one subsequent vehicle traveling in the region;
- calculating an aggregate value for the region based on the vote value;
- generating map data indicative of the calculated aggregate value for the region;
- and
- generating a navigation instruction that does not route the traffic through the region based on the calculated aggregated value for the region.
