Abstract
There is disclosed an antibacterial glass composite and a manufacturing method thereof. The antibacterial glass composite may include 15 to 40% by weight (wt) of SiO2: 20 to 40% wt of B2O3: 10 to 30% wt of at least one of Na2O, K2O and Li2O; to 15% wt of at least one of MgO and TiO2; 5 to 40% wt of at least one of ZnO and CaO; to 10% wt of CuO; and 0.1 to 3% wt of Ag2O, thereby having an anti-biofilm effect.
Claims15
An antibacterial glass composite comprising:
- 15 to 26% by weight (wt) of SiO2:
- 20 to 40% wt of B2O3:
- 10 to 30% wt of at least one of Na2O, K2O, or Li2O;
- 0.1 to 15% wt of at least one of MgO or TiO2;
- 25 to 40% wt of at least one of ZnO or CaO;
- 0.1 to 10% wt of CuO;
- and
- 0.1 to 3% wt of Ag2O.
