Abstract
A sheet conveying device includes: a conveyor to convey a sheet in a conveyance direction; a sound collector to collect sound generated by a conveyance of the sheet by the conveyor, the sound collector movable in a sheet width direction orthogonal to the conveyance direction; and a circuitry configured to determine whether an abnormal conveyance occurs based on the sound collected by the sound collector.
Claims10
A sheet conveying device comprising:
- a conveyor to convey a sheet in a conveyance direction;
- a sound collector to collect sound generated by a conveyance of the sheet by the conveyor, the sound collector movable in a sheet width direction orthogonal to the conveyance direction;
- and
- circuitry configured to determine whether an abnormal conveyance occurs based on the sound collected by the sound collector, wherein
- the circuitry is further configured to switch determination parameters to determine whether an abnormal conveyance occurs based on a position of the sound collector in the sheet width direction.
