Abstract
A user equipment (UE) may obtain an indication of a first gaze pattern of a driver of a vehicle from at least one memory. The UE may obtain a second gaze pattern of the driver of the vehicle based on a first set of sensor data from a first set of sensors associated with the vehicle during a first period of time. The UE may adjust a sensitivity of an advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) associated with the vehicle in response to a difference of visual engagement in a visual zone of the driver between the second gaze pattern and the first gaze pattern that is greater or equal than a threshold amount.
Claims27
An apparatus for wireless communication at a user equipment (UE), comprising:
- at least one memory;
- and
- at least one processor coupled to the at least one memory and, based at least in part on information stored in the at least one memory, the at least one processor is configured to:
- obtain an indication of a plurality of gaze patterns of a driver of a vehicle from at least one of the at least one memory or a wireless device, wherein each gaze pattern of the plurality of gaze patterns comprises a percent of time the driver looks in each visual zone of a plurality of visual zones associated with the driver;
- obtain a movement pattern of a set of objects within a driving path of the vehicle during a third period of time, wherein the third period of time overlaps with a first period of time;
- calculate a set of attention conditions based on the movement pattern of the set of objects;
- select a threshold amount based on the set of attention conditions;
- select a gaze pattern from the plurality of gaze patterns based on at least one of a context or an event associated with the vehicle;
- obtain a second gaze pattern of the driver of the vehicle based on a first set of sensor data from a first set of sensors associated with the vehicle during the first period of time;
- adjust a sensitivity threshold of an advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) associated with the vehicle in response to a difference of visual engagement in a visual zone of the driver between the second gaze pattern and the first gaze pattern that is greater or equal than the threshold amount;
- detect, via the ADAS, a threat event based on the adjusted sensitivity threshold;
- and
- trigger an ADAS action at the vehicle based on the detected threat event.
A method at a user equipment (UE), comprising:
- obtaining an indication of a plurality of gaze patterns of a driver of a vehicle from at least one of a memory or a wireless device, wherein each gaze pattern of the plurality of gaze patterns comprises a percent of time the driver looks in each visual zone of a plurality of visual zones associated with the driver;
- obtaining a movement pattern of a set of objects within a driving path of the vehicle during a third period of time, wherein the third period of time overlaps with a first period of time;
- calculating a set of attention conditions based on the movement pattern of the set of objects;
- selecting a threshold amount based on the set of attention conditions;
- selecting a gaze pattern from the plurality of gaze patterns based on at least one of a context or an event associated with the vehicle;
- obtaining a second gaze pattern of the driver of the vehicle based on a first set of sensor data from a first set of sensors associated with the vehicle during the first period of time;
- adjusting a sensitivity threshold of an advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) associated with the vehicle in response to a difference of visual engagement in a visual zone of the driver between the second gaze pattern and the first gaze pattern that is greater or equal than the threshold amount;
- detecting, via the ADAS, a threat event based on the adjusted sensitivity threshold;
- and
- triggering an ADAS action at the vehicle in response to the detected threat event.
An apparatus for wireless communication at a user equipment (UE) comprising:
- means for obtaining an indication of a plurality of gaze patterns of a driver of a vehicle from at least one of a memory or a wireless device, wherein each gaze pattern of the plurality of gaze patterns comprises a percent of time the driver looks in each visual zone of a plurality of visual zones associated with the driver;
- means for obtaining a movement pattern of a set of objects within a driving path of the vehicle during a third period of time, wherein the third period of time overlaps with a first period of time;
- means for calculating a set of attention conditions based on the movement pattern of the set of objects;
- means for selecting a threshold amount based on the set of attention conditions;
- means for selecting a gaze pattern from the plurality of gaze patterns based on at least one of a context or an event associated with the vehicle;
- means for obtaining a second gaze pattern of the driver of the vehicle based on a first set of sensor data from a first set of sensors associated with the vehicle during the first period of time;
- means for adjusting a sensitivity threshold of an advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) associated with the vehicle in response to a difference of visual engagement in a visual zone of the driver between the second gaze pattern and the first gaze pattern that is greater or equal than the threshold amount;
- detecting, via the ADAS, a threat event based on the adjusted sensitivity threshold;
- and
- triggering an ADAS action at the vehicle in response to the detected threat event.
A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing computer executable code at a user equipment (UE), the code when executed by at least one processor causes the at least one processor to:
