Abstract
Methods and apparatus for verifying cabin and flight deck security are disclosed herein. An example apparatus includes interface circuitry, machine readable instructions, and programmable circuitry to at least one of instantiate or execute the machine readable instructions to receive output from an identifier, the identifier associated with a location of a passenger seat on an aircraft, receive output from a seat belt latch sensor, the seat belt latch sensor associated with a seat belt of the passenger seat, determine a usage status of the seat belt at the location of the passenger seat, and generate a seat diagram, the seat diagram including the usage status of the seat belt at the location of the passenger seat.

An apparatus, comprising:
- interface circuitry communicatively coupled to at least one radio frequency identification (RFID) antenna;
- machine readable instructions;
- and
- programmable circuitry to at least one of instantiate or execute the machine readable instructions to:
- receive first output from an identifier via the at least one RFID antenna, the identifier associated with a location of a passenger seat on an aircraft;
- receive second output from a seat belt latch sensor via the at least one RFID antenna, the seat belt latch sensor associated with a seat belt of the passenger seat;
- receive third output from an occupancy sensor via the at least one RFID antenna, the occupancy sensor associated with the passenger seat;
- determine a usage status of the seat belt at the location of the passenger seat based on the first, second and third outputs;
- generate a seat diagram, the seat diagram including the usage status of the seat belt at the location of the passenger seat;
- and
- generate an alert based on the second output indicating that the seat belt is not latched and the third output indicating that the seat is occupied.
A method, comprising:
- receiving first output from an identifier via at least one RFID antenna, the identifier associated with a location of a passenger seat on an aircraft;
- receiving second output from a seat belt latch sensor via the at least one RFID antenna, the seat belt latch sensor associated with a seat belt of the passenger seat;
- receiving third output from an occupancy sensor via the at least one RFID antenna, the occupancy sensor associated with the passenger seat;
- determining a usage status of the seat belt at the location of the passenger seat based on the first, second and third outputs;
- generating a seat diagram, the seat diagram including the usage status of the seat belt at the location of the passenger seat;
- and
- generating an alert based on the second output indicating that the seat belt is not latched and the third output indicating that the seat is occupied.
A non-transitory machine readable storage medium comprising instructions to cause programmable circuitry to at least:
- receive first output from an identifier via at least one RFID antenna, the identifier associated with a location of a passenger seat on an aircraft;
- receive second output from a seat belt latch sensor via the at least one RFID antenna, the seat belt latch sensor associated with a seat belt of the passenger seat;
- receive third output from an occupancy sensor via the at least one RFID antenna, the occupancy sensor associated with the passenger seat;
- determine a usage status of the seat belt at the location of the passenger seat based on the first, second and third outputs;
- generate a seat diagram, the seat diagram including the usage status of the seat belt at the location of the passenger seat;
- and
- generate an alert based on the second output indicating that the seat belt is not latched and the third output indicating that the seat is occupied.
