Assembly for a motor vehicle, comprising a bumper beam and two absorbers

An assembly for a bumper device of a motor vehicle comprising at least one bumper beam and two absorbers;

• the bumper beam is formed by an elongate hollow body comprising two ends at which the absorbers are attached;
• the assembly further comprises two modular extension pieces;
• each modular extension piece comprising a body with a first part attached to one end of the bumper beam, and a second part projecting from the end of the bumper beam in a longitudinal direction of the bumper beam;
• wherein a lateral absorption plate is further arranged at an end of the second part of the body of each modular extension piece, and extends laterally to the absorbers;
• parallel to the absorbers;
• wherein each modular extension piece further comprises at least one reinforcing element attached to the body and attached to the lateral absorption plate;
• and
• wherein each reinforcing element extends over the body of the modular extension piece over a distance of less than 70% of a distance between the lateral absorption plate and the end of the bumper beam.
