Examples relate to a device including a first application unit having a first roller and second roller forming, in a nip between the outer cylindrical surfaces thereof, a first gap through which powdered material can be conveyed to form a first dry film. The second roller, or a further roller following downstream from the second roller, together with a counter-pressure roller forms a second gap through which a carrier substrate is guided to have the dry film applied. The first and the second rollers can be inclined with respect to one another based on a relative progression of axes of rotation thereof and can be varied in relative inclinations. The first or second roller is mounted in the device to be pivotable about an actual or imaginary pivot axis which extends perpendicular to the axis of rotation of the pivotable roller and/or of the other of the two rollers.
A device for coating a carrier substrate with a powdered material, comprising at least one first application unit, which comprises a first roller and a second roller, adjacent to the first roller, forming, in a nip between outer cylindrical surfaces thereof, a first gap through which the powdered material can be conveyed to form a dry film, the second roller or a further roller following downstream from the second roller, viewed in a direction of a material stream, together with a roller that is effective as a counter-pressure roller forming a second gap, through which a carrier substrate to be coated can be guided and can have the dry film formed in the first gap applied thereto, characterized in that the first and the second rollers can be inclined with respect to one another based on the relative progression of the axes of rotation thereof and can be varied in the relative inclinations thereof in that the first or the second roller is mounted in the device so as to be pivotable about an actual or imaginary pivot axis which extends perpendicular to the axis of rotation of the pivotable roller and of the other of the two rollers, and that the first and the second rollers of the first application unit are mounted in or on differing frame sections, and that the frame section carrying the pivotable roller overall, that is, including frame walls that are assigned on both sides of the pivotable roller and connected to one another and the pivotable roller carried by these frame walls, can be pivoted about the pivot axis.
