Abstract
A carpentry tool attachment that includes a main body comprising a top edge and a bottom edge. The top edge comprises at least one attachment portion for attaching to a carpentry tool, and the bottom edge is configured to align a cutting device for cutting a workpiece. The carpentry tool attachment may provide for straight cuts of any angle. The carpentry tool attachment can further include a material guard to serve as a scratch guard for the workpiece it is placed on and for serving as a set guide.
Claims11
A carpentry tool attachment attachable to a carpentry tool, which is used with a cutting device, the carpentry tool attachment comprising:
- a main body comprising a top edge and a bottom edge;
- wherein the top edge comprises at least one attachment portion for attaching to the carpentry tool,
- wherein the bottom edge is configured to align the cutting device for cutting a workpiece by extending a cutting edge of the carpentry tool,
- wherein the at least one attachment portion includes two attachment portions that are hooking portions that are configured to engage over a first side and a second side of a main body of the carpentry tool,
- wherein the top edge further comprises a fastening portion that is configured to attach the carpentry tool attachment tool to the carpentry tool by fastening to the carpentry tool, wherein the fastening portion is provided between the two attachment portions, and
- wherein the two attachment portions are each angled at an acute angle with respect to the top edge of the main body in opposite directions to correspond to the carpentry tool, wherein the two attachment portions and the fastening portion lie in the same plane.
