Air gap eductor including a swivel joint

An air gap eductor for mixing a diluent with a chemical, the air gap eductor comprising:

• an eductor body, comprising:
• a nozzle section having an inlet portion and an air gap portion, the inlet portion configured to couple to a diluent source and the air gap portion open to the atmosphere;
• and
• a venturi section coupled to the nozzle section, the venturi section including a venturi body projecting from an inner side wall of the venturi section into a primary passageway of the venturi section, the venturi body including a venturi configured to couple to a chemical source for drawing chemical into the venturi with flow of diluent through the venturi, the venturi body having a cavity formed at a discharge outlet of the venturi, the cavity being disposed within a lower end of the venturi;
• a flood ring positioned within the cavity at the lower end of the venturi;
• and
• wherein the nozzle section is configured to receive a nozzle assembly selected from a plurality of nozzle assemblies, each nozzle assembly operable with the venturi and corresponding to a different volume flow rate through the eductor,
• wherein the venturi section is rotatably coupled to the nozzle section by a swivel joint.

An eductor for mixing a diluent with a chemical, the eductor comprising:

• an eductor body, comprising:
• a nozzle section having an inlet portion and an air gap portion, the inlet portion configured to couple to a diluent source and the air gap portion open to the atmosphere;
• and
• a venturi section coupled to the nozzle section, the venturi section including a venturi body projecting from an inner side wall of the venturi section into a primary passageway of the venturi section, the venturi body including a venturi configured to couple to a chemical source for drawing chemical into the venturi with flow of diluent through the venturi, the cavity being disposed within a lower end of the venturi;
• a flood ring positioned within the cavity at the lower end of the venturi;
• and
• a nozzle assembly positioned in the nozzle section of the eductor body,
• wherein the nozzle assembly is selected from a plurality of nozzle assemblies, each nozzle assembly is configured to be received by the nozzle section and corresponds to a different volume flow rate through the eductor;
• wherein the venturi section is coupled to the nozzle section by a means for rotating.
