A carbon dioxide recovery system includes a distillation column for heating an absorption solution having carbon dioxide absorbed therein to cause the carbon dioxide to be released from the absorption solution, a first reboiler that causes heat exchange to occur between a heating medium and the absorption solution extracted from the distillation column, a methanation device that includes a reactor for producing methane by causing a reaction between carbon dioxide and hydrogen, a reaction gas supply line for supplying the reaction gas flowed out from the reactor, to the first reboiler, as a heating medium, and a reaction gas return line for returning, to the methanation device, the reaction gas that had exchanged heat with the absorption solution in the first reboiler.
