Abstract
A drug delivery system delivers a cyclic compound to a target cell or tissue while suppressing the pharmacological activity of the cyclic compound. A complex includes the cyclic compound and a delivery carrier having a shaft portion for carrying the cyclic compound. The shaft portion is complexed by inclusion in the cyclic compound to form a host-guest complex.
Claims8
A complex, comprising:
- a cyclic compound;
- and
- a delivery carrier having a shaft portion, which is enclosed by the cyclic compound and forms an inclusion complex of the cyclic compound with the delivery carrier, and cap portions, which are arranged at both ends of the shaft portion and prevent the cyclic compound from being detached from the shaft portion;
- wherein the shaft portion comprises a residue formed from hydralazine, dihydralazine, 1-naphthylhydralazine, or diethylenetriamine.
