Abstract
The present technology relates to methods of treating one or more behavioral symptoms (for example, anxiety) of 22q11.2 deletion syndrome in a subject by administering, e.g., transdermally, an effective amount of cannabidiol (CBD) to the subject wherein one or more behavioral and/or psychiatric symptoms of 22q11.2 deletion syndrome are treated in the subject.
Claims14
A method of treating irritability in a subject diagnosed with 22q11.2 deletion syndrome, the method comprising:
- administering an effective amount of cannabidiol (CBD) to the subject wherein irritability is treated in the subject, wherein the effective amount is sufficient to show an improvement in irritability, as determined by an Aberrant Behavior Checklist—Community (ABC-C) irritability subscale assessment, compared to a baseline assessment of irritability, as determined by ABC-C, at the beginning of treatment.
