Abstract
The present disclosure provides methods of treating cancer in a patient determined to have a HER2 exon 19 mutation, such as a point mutation, by administering a third-generation tyrosine kinase inhibitor, such as poziotinib.
Claims18
A method of treating cancer in a subject comprising administering an effective amount of poziotinib to the subject, wherein the subject has been determined to have HER2 genetic variations consisting of one or more HER2 exon 19 mutations at one or more residues selected from the group consisting of R678, L755 and D769, and wherein the cancer is non-small cell lung cancer or colorectal cancer.
