A method of treating a CNS disorder with sleep disturbances in a subject, said method comprising administering to said subject a compound having a formula selected from formula II

• R4 is H, —C(═O)—C1-C6-alkyl, wherein alkyl is linear or branched;
• —C(═O)-benzyl, polyethyleneglycolyl (PEG),
• wherein R11 is linear or branched C1-C6-alkyl;
• R12 is H, linear or branched C1-C6 alkyl;
• or formula III
• wherein
• n is 0 or 1;
• X is O or NH
• m is 0 or 1;
• R3 is H, linear or branched C1-C6-alkyl, -benzyl, polyethyleneglycolyl (PEG),
• wherein R9 linear or branched C1-C6-alkyl, wherein alkyl is linear or branched;
• R10 is H, linear or branched C1-C6-alkyl;
• R4 is H, —C(═O)—C1-C6-alkyl;
• —C(═O)-benzyl, polyethyleneglycolyl (PEG)
• wherein R11 is linear or branched C1-C6 alkyl;
• R12 is H, linear or branched C1-C6 alkyl;
• R13, and R14 are independently from each other H, F, Cl, Br, I, aryl, straight or branched C1-8 alkyl, —CH2(CH2)p-aryl, —CH═CH-aryl, NH2, NO2, OH, SH, straight or branched —O—C1-8 alkyl, straight or branched —S—C1-8 alkyl, straight or branched —NH—C1-8 alkyl, —O-aryl, —S-aryl, —NH-aryl, wherein aryl includes aryl having one or more heteroatoms that are O, N or S, and wherein p is 0 or 1,
• or any tautomer, enantiomer, racemic form or deuterated form thereof,
• or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof,
• wherein the CNS disorder with sleep disturbances is a central hypersomnia or a neurodevelopmental disorder.
