Controllers for managing pressure-mitigation devices and promoting compliance with complementary healthcare regimens

A controller comprising:

• a structural body that includes an egress interface that is fluidly coupled to a pressure-mitigation apparatus configured to be situated between a human body and a surface,
• wherein the pressure-mitigation apparatus includes a plurality of chambers;
• a clock module that is operable to generate a clock signal;
• an indicating component that is operable to produce visual notifications, audible notifications, or tactile notifications;
• a processor;
• and
• a memory that includes (i) an inflation schedule that specifies pressures to which the plurality of chambers of the pressure-mitigation apparatus are to be inflated and durations for which the pressures are to be maintained, (ii) a dosing schedule that specifies times at which a medication is to be administered to the human body, and (iii) instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to:
• compare, in a continuous manner, the clock signal to
• (a) the inflation schedule, such that the plurality of chambers are inflated to the pressures specified by the inflation schedule and for the durations specified by the inflation schedule based on the clock signal, thereby shifting force applied by the surface to the human body to different positions over time, and
• (b) the dosing schedule, such that determinations as to whether a dose of medication is due to be administered are made based on the clock signal,
• such that the inflation schedule and the dosing schedule are synchronously monitored using the clock signal, and
• cause a notification to be generated by the indicating component in response to a determination that a dose of medication is due to be administered.
