Cranial remodeling orthosis device with extra growth room

A cranial remodeling orthosis device for shaping an infant's deformed head shape as the infant's head grows, comprising:

• a continuous interior surface, said continuous interior surface configured based upon a modified shape derived from said deformed head shape;
• said continuous interior surface comprising hold areas determined from said modified shape to restrain growth of said infant's head;
• said continuous interior surface comprising an anterior extra growth area and a posterior extra growth area each determined from said modified shape to provide corresponding anterior and posterior extra growth rooms for said infant's head;
• said anterior extra growth room contiguous with and extending outward a first predetermined distance from a corresponding anterior growth area defined by said modified shape;
• said posterior extra growth room contiguous with and extending outward a second predetermined distance from a corresponding posterior growth area defined by said modified shape;
• said second predetermined distance being greater than said first predetermined distance;
• and
• each of said anterior extra growth room area and said posterior extra growth room area defined by trim lines defining peripheral edges of said cranial remodeling orthosis device, and neck lines of said cranial remodeling orthosis device.
