A system for determining structure of living neural tissue, the system comprising a processor, memory accessible by the processor, and computer program instructions stored in the memory and executable by the processor to perform:

• receiving at least one photonic signal from at least one read modality, the photonic signal representing at least one physical condition of the living neural tissue;
• determining an action potential based on the at least one photonic signal received from the at least one read modality;
• determining a frequency oscillation based on the at least one photonic signal received from the at least one read modality and the action potential;
• determining neuron network structures that indicate observable linguistic events based on the photonic signals received from the read modalities, the action potentials, and the frequency oscillations, wherein the neuron network structures are determined using a Maximum Entropy model;
• stimulating the living neural tissue utilizing at least one write modality based on the neuron network structures and the at least one read modality.

A non-transitory computer program product for determining structure of living neural tissue, the computer program product comprising a non-transitory computer readable storage having program instructions embodied therewith, the program instructions executable by a computer including a processor and memory, to cause the computer to perform a method comprising:

• receiving at least one photonic signal from at least one read modality, the photonic signal representing at least one physical condition of the living neural tissue;
• determining an action potential based on the at least one photonic signal received from the at least one read modality;
• determining a frequency oscillation based on the at least one photonic signal received from the at least one read modality and the action potential;
• determining neuron network structures that indicate observable linguistic events based on the photonic signals received from the read modalities, the action potentials, and the frequency oscillations, wherein the neuron network structures are determined using a Maximum Entropy model;
• stimulating the living neural tissue utilizing at least one write modality based on the neuron network structures and the at least one read modality.
