Abstract
A mounting system capable of mounting objects to support structures is disclosed. The mounting system includes a wall mount including a display bracket configured to hold the object, a fixed support bracket couplable to a vertical support structure, and a linkage assembly. The linkage assembly has a low-profile stowed configuration in which the object is held in a raised position close to the support structure. The linkage assembly moves to another configuration to move the object. The object can be held in a lowered position. A biasing mechanism can facilitate convenient movement of the object.
Claims22
A television mount device, comprising:
- a wall mounting bracket;
- a television mounting bracket configured to carry a television;
- and
- a lever-pulley counterbalance assembly including:
- a pulley system, and
- a biasing lever that engages the pulley system such that the lever-pulley counterbalance assembly provides a counterbalancing force as the biasing lever rotates from a first position to a second position when the television mounting bracket moves from a raised position to a lowered position, wherein the biasing lever includes (i) a vertical moving plate, (ii) a pulley arm pivolably coupled to the vertical moving plate, (iii) a first biasing element coupled between the vertical moving plate and the pulley arm, and (iv) a second biasing element coupled between the vertical moving plate and the pulley arm and extending at a non-parallel angle relative to the first biasing element.
A television mount device, comprising:
- a wall mounting bracket;
- a television mounting bracket configured to carry a television;
- a positioner mechanism configured to allow independent multidirectional linear movement of the television mounting bracket;
- and
- a lever-pulley counterbalance assembly including:
- a pulley system connected to the positioner mechanism, wherein the pulley system includes a pulley and a connector coupled to a first connector mount and a second connector mount, wherein the connector extends around the pulley, and
- a biasing lever that includes a pulley arm having a distal end supporting the pulley, wherein the biasing lever engages the pulley system such that the lever-pulley counterbalance a assembly provides counterbalancing force as the biasing lever rotates from a first position to a second position when the television mounting bracket moves from a raised position to a lowered position, and wherein a sum of a first distance between the first connector mount and the pulley and a second distance between the second connector mount and the pulley remains constant as the television mounting bracket moves from the raised position to the lowered position.
A television mount device, comprising:
- a wall mounting bracket;
- a television mounting bracket configured to carry a television;
- and
- a lever-pulley counterbalance assembly including:
- a vertical fixed plate coupled to the wall mounting bracket;
- a vertical moving plate coupled to the television mounting bracket;
- a pulley arm pivotably coupled to the vertical moving plate;
- a biasing element pivotably coupled between the vertical moving plate and the pulley arm;
- a pulley rotatably coupled to a distal end portion of the pulley arm;
- and
- a connector coupled between a first connector mount of the vertical fixed plate and a second connector mount of the vertical moving plate, wherein the connector extends around the pulley,
- wherein the lever-pulley counterbalance assembly is configurable between:
- a raised position in which the first connector mount is located closer to the pulley than the second connector mount, and
- a lowered position in which the second connector mount is located closer to the pulley than the first connector mount.
A television mount device, comprising:
- a wall mounting bracket:
- a television mounting bracket configured to carry a television;
- and
- a lever-pulley counterbalance assembly including:
- a vertical fixed plate coupled to the wall mounting bracket;
- a vertical moving plate coupled to the television mounting bracket;
- a pulley arm pivolably coupled to the vertical moving plate;
- a biasing element pivotably coupled between the vertical moving plate and the pulley arm, wherein the biasing element comprises a first biasing element;
- a second biasing element pivotably coupled between the vertical moving plate and the pulley arm and extending at a non-parallel angle relative to the first biasing element;
- a pulley rotatably coupled to a distal end portion of the pulley arm;
- and
- a connector coupled between a first connector mount of the vertical fixed plate and a second connector mount of the vertical moving plate, wherein the connector extends around the pulley.
