Abstract
An article comprising a lower garment with a front left waistband and a front right waistband, a back waistband, a left side panel provided between the front left waistband and a left side edge of the back waistband, a right side panel provided between the front right waistband and a right side edge of the back waistband, and one or more extendable flaps with a first end attached to the front left or right waistband and a second end that is securable to the left or right side panel.

An article comprising:
- a lower garment comprising:
- (i) a front left waistband and a front right waistband;
- (ii) a back waistband;
- (iii) a left side panel provided between the front left waistband and a left side edge of the back waistband;
- (iv) a right side panel provided between the front right waistband and a right side edge of the back waistband;
- and
- (v) one or more extendable flaps with a first end attached to the front left or right waistband and a second end that is securable to the left or right side panel,
- wherein the left or right side panel comprises a single unitary panel with an anterior section positioned entirely below the front left or right waistband and a posterior section extending below a lower edge of the front left or right waistband and a lower edge of the back waistband, and
- wherein the posterior section comprises an upper portion that extends to an uppermost edge of the lower garment and a lower portion that is attached to one or more rear panels of the lower garment.
