Abstract
The invention relates to herbicidal mixtures and compositions comprising isoxaben, dithiopyr, 2,4-Dichlorophenoxyacetic acid (2,4-D), 3,6-dichloro-2-methoxybenzoic acid (dicamba) and methylchlorophenoxypropionic acid (Mecoprop or MCPP), and methods of using the same.
Claims20
An herbicidal mixture comprising:
- isoxaben, dithiopyr, 2,4-Dichlorophenoxyacetic acid (2,4-D) and/or an ester, salt and/or choline thereof, 3,6-dichloro-2-methoxybenzoic acid (dicamba) and/or an ester and/or salt thereof, and methylchlorophenoxypropionic acid (Mecoprop or MCPP) and/or an ester and/or salt thereof;
- wherein the herbicidal mixture comprises about 50% less than the amount of 2,4-D, MCPP, isoxaben, and dicamba in standard herbicidal mixtures and achieves the same herbicidal effect as compared to the standard herbicidal mixtures;
- and wherein the herbicidal mixture comprises dithiopyr for application in an effective amount of at least about 500 grams/hectare.
