Customized generation of highlights show with narrative component

A computer system for generating a customized highlight show, the computer system comprising:

• a memory having processor-readable instructions stored therein;
• and
• one or more processors configured to access the memory and execute the processor-readable instructions, which when executed by the one or more processors configures the one or more processors to perform a plurality of functions, including functions for:
• receiving a selection of an event;
• receiving a request to generate a customized highlight sequence;
• generating a customized highlight sequence by:
• identifying a plurality of occurrences corresponding to the event;
• determining a user transition preference based on user data;
• generating, based on the user transition preference, a transition between a first occurrence of the plurality of occurrences and a second occurrence of the plurality of occurrences;
• assembling a highlight show comprising the first occurrence, the second occurrence, and the transition.

A non-transitory computer-readable medium containing instructions for generating a customized highlight show, the instructions comprising:

• receiving, by a computing system, a selection of an event;
• receiving, by the computing system, a request to generate a customized highlight sequence;
• generating, by the computing system, a customized highlight sequence by:
• identifying, by the computing system, a plurality of occurrences corresponding to the event;
• determining, by the computing system, a user transition preference based on user data;
• generating, by the computing system, based on the user transition preference, a transition between a first occurrence of the plurality of occurrences and a second occurrence of the plurality of occurrences;
• assembling, by the computing system, a highlight show comprising the first occurrence, the second occurrence, and the transition.
