Abstract
According to the disclosure of the present document, a recovery point picture order count (POC) for a gradual decoding refresh (GDR) picture is derived on the basis of GDR-related information, and an output for pictures related to the GDR picture is determined on the basis of the recovery point POC. The recovery point DOC can be derived on the basis of a syntax element related to the recovery point POC.
Claims17
An image decoding method performed by a decoding apparatus, the method comprising:
- obtaining image information including gradual decoding refresh (GDR) related information from a bitstream;
- deriving a recovery point POC (picture order count) for a GDR picture based on the GDR related information;
- and
- determining output for pictures related to the GDR picture based on the recovery point POC,
- wherein the GDR related information includes a syntax element related to the recovery point POC,
- wherein the recovery point POC is derived based on a POC of the GDR picture, the syntax element related to the recovery point POC, and a modification value for the syntax element related to the recovery point POC.
An image encoding method performed by an encoding apparatus, the method comprising:
- deriving a recovery point POC (picture order count) for a gradual decoding refresh (GDR) picture;
- generating GDR related information including a syntax element related to the recovery point POC;
- and
- encoding image information including the GDR related information,
- wherein the recovery point POC is represented based on a POC of the GDR picture, the syntax element related to the recovery point POC, and a modification value for the syntax element related to the recovery point POC.
A method for transmitting a bitstream including image information, the method comprising:
- deriving a recovery point POC (picture order count) for a gradual decoding refresh (GDR) picture;
- generating GDR related information including a syntax element related to the recovery point POC;
- encoding the image information including the GDR related information;
- and
- transmitting the bitstream including the image information,
- wherein the recovery point POC is represented based on a POC of the GDR picture, the syntax element related to the recovery point POC, and a modification value for the syntax element related to the recovery point POC.
