Abstract
Systems, methods, and non-transitory computer readable media can be configured to perform operations comprising receiving, by a computing system, an incoming call; selecting, by the computing system, an application of a plurality of applications having calling functionality and installed on a computing device of a user to provide at least one of a notification of the incoming call or a notification of a missed call associated with the incoming call; and causing, by the computing system, the application to provide at least one of the notification of the incoming call or the notification of the missed call.
Claims14
A computer-implemented method comprising:
- receiving, by a computing system, an incoming call;
- selecting, by the computing system, an application of a plurality of applications having calling functionality and installed on a computing device of a user to provide at least one of a notification of the incoming call or a notification of a missed call associated with the incoming call, wherein selecting the application comprises:
- determining that the user has not specified a preferred application of the plurality of applications;
- in response to determining that the user has not specified the preferred application, determining that the user is not active in an application of the plurality of applications;
- and
- in response to determining that the user is not active in the application, determining that the application to provide at least one of the notification of the incoming call or the notification of the missed call is an application through which the incoming call was initiated on a computing device of a caller;
- and
- causing, by the computing system, the application to provide at least one of the notification of the incoming call or the notification of the missed call.
A system comprising:
- at least one processor;
- and
- memory storing instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the system to perform operations comprising:
- receiving an incoming call;
- selecting an application of a plurality of applications having calling functionality and installed on a computing device of a user to provide at least one of a notification of the incoming call or a notification of a missed call associated with the incoming call, wherein selecting the application comprises:
- determining that the user has not specified a preferred application of the plurality of applications;
- in response to determining that the user has not specified the preferred application, determining that the user is not active in an application of the plurality of applications;
- and
- in response to determining that the user is not active in the application, determining that the application to provide at least one of the notification of the incoming call or the notification of the missed call is an application through which the incoming call was initiated on a computing device of a caller;
- and
- causing the application to provide at least one of the notification of the incoming call or the notification of the missed call.
A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium including instructions that, when executed by at least one processor of a computing system, cause the computing system to perform operations comprising:
- receiving an incoming call;
- selecting an application of a plurality of applications having calling functionality and installed on a computing device of a user to provide at least one of a notification of the incoming call or a notification of a missed call associated with the incoming call, wherein selecting the application comprises:
- determining that the user has not specified a preferred application of the plurality of applications;
- in response to determining that the user has not specified the preferred application, determining that the user is not active in an application of the plurality of applications;
- and
- in response to determining that the user is not active in the application, determining that the application to provide at least one of the notification of the incoming call or the notification of the missed call is an application through which the incoming call was initiated on a computing device of a caller;
- and
- causing the application to provide at least one of the notification of the incoming call or the notification of the missed call.
