Abstract
Methods and processes for faster and more efficient creation of NFTs while further enhancing the use and transferability of digital assets along with, or in conjunction with, tangible goods and other physical real world assets; methods for securing personal keys that allow for improved security of the physical key while simultaneously providing for transferability of the underlying digital assets; and methods for creation and activation of digital wallets, digital assets, and/or digital asset backed gift cards and the like.
Claims20
A method of securing a blockchain key comprising:
- minting a digital wallet with a minter;
- creating a digital wallet key;
- dividing the digital wallet key into at least three parts;
- encrypting a first part of the digital wallet key with a first cipher;
- storing the first part of the digital wallet key in a minter database on a network separate from the minter;
- encrypting a second part of the digital wallet key with a second cipher;
- transferring the second part of the digital wallet key to the digital wallet;
- generating at least one wallet retrieval phrase, the digital wallet key being created in a process path independent of the generation of the at least one wallet retrieval phrase;
- encrypting the at least one wallet retrieval phrase with the first cipher;
- storing the at least one wallet retrieval phrase in the minter database;
- encrypting a third part of the digital wallet key with the second cipher and storing the third part of the digital wallet key in a native application separate from the digital wallet;
- generating an activation application programming interface (API) response;
- displaying the activation API response to an end user;
- confirming validity of the digital wallet key by requiring the end user to complete a three part security process prior to any mint operation, the three part security process including verification of custody and location of the first, second, and third parts and a query to a microservices token database to confirm the digital wallet key;
- and
- responsive to a non-fungible token (NFT) minting request sent directly from an activation API request queue to a dedicated minter, the dedicated minter first minting at least one NFT to a house wallet and, only upon successful completion of the three part security process and confirmation of key validity, transferring the at least one NFT to a user wallet associated with the digital wallet, wherein the at least one NFT comprises at least one of:
- an image of a tangible item, a digital deed to the tangible item, and metadata describing the tangible item.
A system comprising:
- at least one smart device hosting a native application;
- at least one processor operably communicating with the native application;
- and
- at least one non transitory computer readable storage medium having instructions encoded thereon that, when executed by the processor, cause the system to:
- mint a digital wallet with a minter;
- create a digital wallet key;
- divide the digital wallet key into at least three parts;
- encrypt a first part of the digital wallet key with a first cipher;
- store the first part of the digital wallet key in a minter database on a network separate from the minter;
- encrypt a second part of the digital wallet key with a second cipher;
- transfer the second part of the digital wallet key to the digital wallet;
- generate at least one wallet retrieval phrase, the digital wallet key being created in a process path independent of the generation of the at least one wallet retrieval phrase;
- encrypt the at least one wallet retrieval phrase with the first cipher and store the at least one wallet retrieval phrase in the minter database;
- encrypt a third part of the digital wallet key with the second cipher and store the third part in the native application separate from the digital wallet;
- generate an activation application programming interface (API) response and display the activation API response to an end user;
- confirm validity of the digital wallet key by requiring the end user to complete a three part security process including a query to a microservices token database to confirm the digital wallet key;
- and
- responsive to a non-fungible token (NFT) minting request sent directly from an activation API request queue to a dedicated minter, cause the dedicated minter to first mint at least one NFT to a house wallet and, only upon successful completion of the three part security process, transfer the at least one NFT to a user wallet associated with the digital wallet, wherein the at least one NFT comprises at least one of:
- an image NFT of a tangible item, a digital deed NFT to the tangible item, and an NFT of metadata describing the tangible item.
