Abstract
An intermediary server for intermediating transfer of ownership of energy between a supplier and a user, includes circuitry that receives usage information indicating that energy has been used from a communication terminal of the user, and transmits, to a decentralized ledger system, a request for changing ownership of the energy from the previous owner to the user based on the usage information.
Claims13
A system, comprising:
- a smart meter including first circuitry;
- and
- an intermediary server for intermediating transfer of ownership of energy between a supplier and a user, the intermediary server including second circuitry, wherein
- the first circuitry is configured to:
- measure a consumed amount of energy by the user;
- and
- repeatedly transmit usage information indicating the consumed amount of energy at regular intervals,
- the second circuitry is configured to:
- communicate with the smart meter and a decentralized ledger system via a network;
- and
- repeatedly receive the usage information indicating the consumed amount of energy from the communication terminal,
- each time the usage information is received, the second circuitry is configured to:
- access a transaction details management database storing a planned usage ratio of a specific energy production method associated with a user identifier of the user;
- access a transaction history management database storing a history of energy production methods previously allocated to the user;
- determine a production method for the consumed amount of energy by executing a set of rules including:
- (i) calculating a current energy ratio for the user from the total energy amounts in the transaction history management database,
- (ii) comparing the calculated current energy ratio to the planned usage ratio from the transaction details management database, and
- (iii) selecting the production method that directs the user's allocation of energy toward satisfying the planned usage ratio;
- update the transaction history management database to include the consumed amount of energy under the selected production method;
- transmit, to the decentralized ledger system, a request for changing ownership of an energy asset having the selected production method from a previous owner to the user, wherein the request includes an identifier of the previous owner, the user identifier and the production method, and the decentralized ledger system updates energy asset information based on the request, the energy asset information indicating an owner of the energy asset and a transaction status of the energy asset, by changing the owner to the user and changing the transaction status to transferred;
- and
- transmit to the smart meter a response indicating whether processing is successful or unsuccessful, and
- a subsequent exchange of electricity between the supplier and the user is adjusted according to the updated energy asset information, and the energy asset with the transaction status of transferred is excluded by the intermediary server from a subsequent determination of a production method.
A method for intermediating transfer of ownership of energy between a supplier and a user, the method comprising:
- communicating with a smart meter and a decentralized ledger system via a network, the smart meter measuring a consumed amount of energy by the user and repeatedly transmitting usage information indicating the consumed amount of energy at regular intervals;
- each time the usage information is received:
- accessing a transaction details management database storing a planned usage ratio of a specific energy production method associated with a user identifier of the user;
- accessing a transaction history management database storing a history of energy production methods previously allocated to the user;
- determining a production method for the consumed amount of energy by executing a set of rules including:
- (i) calculating a current energy ratio for the user from the total energy amounts in the transaction history management database,
- (ii) comparing the calculated current energy ratio to the planned usage ratio from the transaction details management database, and
- (iii) selecting the production method that directs the user's allocation of energy toward satisfying the planned usage ratio;
- updating the transaction history management database to include the consumed amount of energy under the selected production method;
- transmitting, to the decentralized ledger system, a request for changing ownership of an energy asset having the selected production method from a previous owner to the user, wherein the request includes an identifier of the previous owner, the user identifier and the production method, and the decentralized ledger system updates energy asset information based on the request, the energy asset information indicating an owner of the energy asset and a transaction status of the energy asset, by changing the owner to the user and changing the transaction status to transferred;
- and
- transmitting to the smart meter a response indicating whether processing is successful or unsuccessful, wherein
- a subsequent exchange of electricity between the supplier and the user is adjusted according to the updated energy asset information, and the energy asset with the transaction status of transferred is excluded by the intermediary server from a subsequent determination of a production method.
A non-transitory recording medium storing a plurality of instructions which, when executed by one or more processors, cause the processors to perform a method for intermediating transfer of ownership of energy between a supplier and a user, the method comprising:
- communicating with a smart meter and a decentralized ledger system via a network, the smart meter measuring a consumed amount of energy by the user and repeatedly transmitting usage information indicating the consumed amount of energy at regular intervals;
- each time the usage information is received:
- accessing a transaction details management database storing a planned usage ratio of a specific energy production method associated with a user identifier of the user;
- accessing a transaction history management database storing a history of energy production methods previously allocated to the user;
- determining a production method for the consumed amount of energy by executing a set of rules including:
- (i) calculating a current energy ratio for the user from the total energy amounts in the transaction history management database,
- (ii) comparing the calculated current energy ratio to the planned usage ratio from the transaction details management database, and
- (iii) selecting the production method that directs the user's allocation of energy toward satisfying the planned usage ratio;
- updating the transaction history management database to include the consumed amount of energy under the selected production method;
- transmitting, to the decentralized ledger system, a request for changing ownership of an energy asset having the selected production method from a previous owner to the user, wherein the request includes an identifier of the previous owner, the user identifier and the production method, and the decentralized ledger system updates energy asset information based on the request, the energy asset information indicating an owner of the energy asset and a transaction status of the energy asset, by changing the owner to the user and changing the transaction status to transferred;
