Abstract
The invention relates to a segmented coil carrier (20; 20′) for an electric machine (2), comprising a plurality of separately formed, interconnected segments (1) with in each case one carrier (10) with a shaft (100) and a coil (11) surrounding the shaft (100), a groove (N) being formed between two adjacent carriers (10); and a groove wedge arranged in the groove (N).
Claims17
A segmented coil carrier for an electric machine, the segmented coil carrier comprising:
- a plurality of segments that are separately formed and interconnected, each segment of the plurality of segments having a carrier with a shaft, a holding portion at a first end of the shaft, and a further portion extending away from a second end of the shaft, at an angle relative to the shaft, and having a coil surrounding the shaft, wherein a groove is formed between two adjacent carriers of the carriers;
- and
- a groove wedge arranged in the groove,
- wherein the groove wedge is formed from multiple pieces,
- wherein the further portion has an open end,
- wherein a shape of the open end of a first segment of the plurality of segments matches a shape of a transition between the shaft and the further portion of a second segment of the plurality of segments, and the open end of the first segment is in contact with the transition of the second segment.
An electric machine comprising:
- a segmented coil carrier comprising:
- a plurality of segments that are separately formed and interconnected, each segment of the plurality of segments having a carrier with a shaft, a holding portion at a first end of the shaft, and a further portion extending away from a second end of the shaft, at an angle relative to the shaft, and having a coil surrounding the shaft, wherein a groove is formed between two adjacent carriers of the carriers;
- and
- a groove wedge arranged in the groove,
- wherein the groove wedge is formed from multiple pieces,
- wherein the further portion has an open end,
- wherein a shape of the open end of a first segment of the plurality of segments matches a shape of a transition between the shaft and the further portion of a second segment of the plurality of segments, and
- wherein the open end of the first segment is in contact with the transition of the second segment.
A method for producing a segmented coil carrier, the method comprising:
- providing a plurality of separately formed segments, each separately formed segment of the plurality of separately formed segments having a carrier with a shaft, a holding portion at a first end of the shaft, and a further portion extending away from a second end of the shaft, at an angle relative to the shaft, and having a coil surrounding the shaft;
- and
- connecting the plurality of separately formed segments, such that a groove, in which a groove wedge is arrangeable, is formed between two adjacent carriers of the carriers,
- wherein the groove wedge is formed from multiple pieces,
- wherein the further portion has an open end,
- wherein a shape of the open end of a first segment of the plurality of separately formed segments matches a shape of a transition between the shaft and the further portion of a second segment of the plurality of separately formed segments, and
- wherein the open end of the first segment is in contact with the transition of the second segment.
An aircraft comprising:
- an engine comprising:
- an electric machine comprising:
- a segmented coil carrier comprising:
- a plurality of segments that are separately formed and interconnected, each segment of the plurality of segments having a carrier with a shaft, a holding portion at a first end of the shaft, and a further portion extending away from a second end of the shaft, at an angle relative to the shaft, and having a coil surrounding the shaft, wherein a groove is formed between two adjacent carriers of the carriers;
- and
- a groove wedge arranged in the groove,
- wherein the groove wedge is formed from multiple pieces,
- wherein the further portion has an open end,
- wherein a shape of the open end of a first segment of the plurality of segments matches a shape of a transition between the shaft and the further portion of a second segment of the plurality of segments, and
- wherein the open end of the first segment is in contact with the transition of the second segment.
