Abstract
A device for controlling trapped ions includes a semiconductor substrate. The semiconductor substrate includes a plurality of optical detectors. A dielectric layer is disposed over the semiconductor substrate. The dielectric layer includes one or a plurality of lenses. An electrode structure is disposed over the dielectric layer. The electrode structure includes electrodes of an ion trap configured to trap one or more ions in a space above the electrode structure.

A device for controlling trapped ions, the device comprising:
- a semiconductor substrate comprising a plurality of optical detectors;
- a dielectric layer disposed over the semiconductor substrate, wherein the dielectric layer comprises one or a plurality of lenses;
- and
- an electrode structure disposed over the dielectric layer, wherein the electrode structure comprises electrodes of an ion trap configured to trap one or more ions in a space above the electrode structure.
