A computer-implemented method, the computer-implemented method implemented using a building analysis system for detecting events associated with a one or more buildings having at least one utility provided thereto, the building system comprising (a) a plurality of sensors positioned within each of the one or more buildings, (b) a memory device for storing a profile of at least one utility equipment associated with providing the at least one utility, the profile including operating parameters for the at least one utility equipment, and (c) a server communicatively coupled to the plurality of sensors, the server including one or more processors in communication with the memory device, the computer-implemented method comprising:
- receiving, from the plurality of sensors, sensor data associated with the at least one utility equipment;
- executing an artificial intelligence (AI) model on the sensor data, the AI model trained on reference data linking historical sensor data collected by the plurality of sensors to historical performance of the at least one utility equipment;
- detecting a plurality of events associated with the at least one utility by comparing, via the AI model, the received sensor data to data stored in association with the profile;
- determining, via the AI model, a correlation between the detected plurality of events, the correlation indicating that the detected plurality of events is not based on an isolated event occurring in within at least one of the one or more buildings;
- generating, based upon an output of the AI model, support data associated with a performance of the at least one utility equipment;
- and
- transmitting, to a remote computing device associated with an entity associated with providing the at least one utility, the support data, the support data including an indication that the detected plurality of events is attributable to the performance of the at least one utility equipment and not to the isolated event, thereby enabling the entity to assess whether a performance failure of the at least one utility equipment is associated with the detect plurality of events.
