Associating multiple user accounts with a content output device

A device comprising:

• at least one processor;
• and
• a memory including instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the at least one processor to:
• receive, by the device, an invitation to access content associated with a first user account on a second device associated with a home account corresponding to a second user account, wherein the home account is associated with one or more devices;
• send, to a server, a request for authorization to access the content associated with the first user account on the one or more devices associated with the home account;
• receive, from the server, the authorization to access the content associated with the first user account on the second device associated with the second user account, wherein the authorization comprises a token generated by the server based on the invitation, wherein in response to the token being received at the one or more devices, at least one of the one or more devices validates the token with a media content server prior to accessing the content associated with the first user account;
• and
• access, when the token is received at the one or more devices associated with the home account, the content associated with the first user account on the one or more devices associated with the home account.

A computer program product comprising code, stored in a non-transitory computer-readable storage medium, the code comprising:

• code to receive an invitation at a first device to access content associated with a first user account on a second device associated with a home account corresponding to a second user account, wherein the home account is associated with one or more devices;
• code to send, to a server, a request for authorization to access the content associated with the first user account on the one or more devices associated with the home account;
• code to receive, from the server, the authorization to access the content associated with the first user account on the second device associated with the second user account, wherein the authorization comprises a token generated by the server based on the invitation, wherein in response to the token being received at the one or more devices, at least one of the one or more devices validates the token with a media content server prior to accessing the content associated with the first user account;
• and
• code to access, when the token is received at the one or more devices associated with the home account, the content associated with the first user account on the one or more devices associated with the home account.
