Method for copying data within memory device, memory device, and electronic device thereof

A method of copying data within a memory device, the method comprising:

• receiving a first command;
• in response to receiving the first command,
• receiving first data from a source address,
• performing a parallel to serial transformation on the first data, and
• transferring the first data to the read driver;
• and
• receiving a second command;
• in response to receiving the second command,
• performing a read operation at the source address to obtain second data,
• transmitting the second data to an output buffer through a data line after performing the read operation, wherein the output buffer is connected to a read driver,
• receiving the second data without performing the parallel to serial transformation on the second data,
• storing the second data in the output buffer in response to the output buffer receiving the second data without performing the parallel to serial transformation on the second data, and
• transmitting the second data stored in the output buffer to a destination address through the data line.

An electronic device, comprising:

• a controller;
• and
• a memory device electrically connected to the controller, the memory device comprising:
• a memory array, comprising a first memory location and a second memory location;
• and
• an output buffer, connected to a read driver and configured to:
• in response to a first command,
• receive first data from the memory array,
• perform a parallel to serial transformation on the first data, and
• transfer the first data to the read driver;
• and
• in response to a second command,
• store second data received from the first memory location through a data line to be written directly into the second memory location without performing the parallel to serial transformation on the second data.
