Image printing apparatus and control method

A printing apparatus comprising:

• a conveyance roller configured to convey a sheet in a conveyance direction;
• a printing unit configured to print an image onto a sheet conveyed by the conveyance roller;
• a first conveyance path provided downstream of the printing unit in the conveyance direction and configured to discharge a sheet on which an image is printed by the printing unit;
• a second conveyance path, which is different from the first conveyance path, provided downstream of the printing unit in the conveyance direction and configured to discharge a sheet on which an image is printed by the printing unit;
• and
• a control unit configured to perform control so that:
• in a case of conveying a sheet along the first conveyance path, the sheet is conveyed by the conveyance roller with a first conveyance amount, and
• in a case of conveying a sheet along the second conveyance path, the sheet is conveyed by the conveyance roller with a second conveyance amount different from the first conveyance amount, wherein
• the control unit executes a first mode in which the control unit controls conveyance of a sheet along the first conveyance path using the conveyance roller and obtains a first correction value for the first conveyance amount, and a second mode in which the control unit controls conveyance of a sheet along the second conveyance path using the conveyance roller and obtains a second correction value for the second conveyance amount.
