Method of manufacturing display device and window

A method of manufacturing a display device, the method comprising:

• preparing a window member comprising a first window comprising a display area, and a second window adjacent to a first side surface of the first window;
• forming a protective member on an upper surface of the window member by:
• forming a preliminary protective layer comprising a first protective layer having a first thickness on a first upper surface of the first window and a second protective layer having a second thickness on a second upper surface of the second window, the second thickness being greater than the first thickness;
• and
• pre-curing the preliminary protective layer;
• and
• separating the second window from the first side surface,
• wherein during the separating of the second window from the first side surface, at least a portion of the second protective layer is removed together with the second window.
