Method for manufacturing a wind turbine blade and fixture for manufacturing a wind turbine blade

A fixture for manufacturing a wind turbine blade, the fixture being configured for arranging a first pre-casted blade segment and a second pre-casted blade segment adjacent to each other such that the first pre-casted blade segment is arranged adjacent to the second pre-casted blade segment in a circumferential direction of the blade and/or a line-shaped connection region is orientated along a longitudinal direction of the blade, the fixture also being configured for supporting the first pre-casted blade segment and the second pre-casted blade segment during their connection with each other by vacuum-induced resin infusion and curing, wherein the fixture comprises:

• a rigid frame,
• actuators, and
• support plates connected to the rigid frame by the actuators, wherein the support plates are configured to dispose the first pre-casted blade segment and the second pre-casted blade segment to abut each other so as to enable arrangement of a fiber lay-up in the line-shaped connection region between the first pre-casted blade segment and the second pre-casted blade segment, wherein the fiber lay-up overlaps an outer portion of the first pre-casted blade segment and an outer portion of the second pre-casted blade segment in the connection region, and
• a lower fixture and an upper fixture, the lower fixture being configured for arranging the first, second and/or one or more further pre-casted blade segments for a lower half shell of an inboard blade section or blade root section, and the upper fixture being configured for arranging the first, second and/or one or more further pre-casted blade segments for an upper half shell of the inboard blade section or blade root section.
