Abstract
Provided are: modified soybeans having a reduced furan fatty acid content in the oils and fats contained in the soybeans; and uses of the modified soybeans. The present invention relates to modified soybeans in which the content ratio of furan fatty acid in the oils and fats contained in the soybeans has been reduced by genetic mutation.
Claims18
A modified soybean in which a content amount of furan fatty acid in an oil/fat contained in the modified soybean has been reduced by genetic mutation, compared to an original soybean of the modified soybean, wherein
- the modified soybean has a mutation introduced into a gene encoding an amino acid sequence represented by SEQ ID NO:
- 2 or a gene encoding an amino acid sequence represented by SEQ ID NO:
- 4 as the genetic mutation, and
- the content amount of furan fatty acid in the oil/fat contained in the modified soybean is 0 ppm by mass or more and 20 ppm by mass or less.
LF65 soybean whose accession number is FERM BP-22392.
16SN279 soybean whose accession number is FERM BP-22413.
