Method and apparatus for power control of PUSCH repetition

A user equipment (UE) for wireless communication, comprising:

• at least one memory;
• and
• at least one processor coupled with the at least one memory and configured to cause the UE to:
• receive a mapping pattern and a configuration of a plurality of power control parameter sets for a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) transmission, the PUSCH transmission configured to be transmitted in a plurality of time intervals repeatedly, wherein the configuration of the plurality of power control parameter sets includes at least a first SRI-PUSCH-PowerControl list and a second SRI-PUSCH-PowerControl list, each SRI-PUSCH-PowerControl list including at least one power control parameter set;
• receive a downlink control information (DCI) for scheduling the PUSCH transmission, the DCI including a sounding reference signal resource indicator (SRI) field that includes two SRI values that each indicate one of a sounding reference signal (SRS) resource for codebook based transmission or an SRS resource subset for non-codebook based transmission and further including a transmission power control (TPC) command field that indicates a first TPC command that corresponds to a first closed loop index and a second TPC command that corresponds to a second closed loop index, wherein a first power control parameter set is indicated by a first SRI value mapped to the first SRI-PUSCH-PowerControl list and a second power control parameter set is indicated by a second SRI value mapped to the second SRI-PUSCH-PowerControl list, and wherein the mapping pattern indicates each PUSCH repetition associated with the SRS resource for codebook based transmission, or the SRS resource subset for non-codebook based transmission, and wherein a number of SRI-PUSCH-PowerControl lists is a same number as a number of SRI values;
• determine a power of each PUSCH repetition of the PUSCH transmission based on at least one SRI value in the SRI field, the configuration of the plurality of power control parameter sets, and the mapping pattern;
• and
• transmit the PUSCH transmission in the plurality of time intervals repeatedly based on the determined power of each PUSCH repetition of the PUSCH transmission and the mapping pattern.

A base station for wireless communication, comprising:

• at least one memory;
• and
• at least one processor coupled with the at least one memory and configured to cause the base station to:
• transmit a mapping pattern and a configuration of a plurality of power control parameter sets for a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) transmission, the PUSCH transmission configured to be transmitted in a plurality of time intervals repeatedly, wherein the configuration of the plurality of power control parameter sets includes at least a first SRI-PUSCH-PowerControl list and a second SRI-PUSCH-PowerControl list, each SRI-PUSCH-PowerControl list including at least one power control parameter set;
• transmit a downlink control information (DCI) for scheduling the PUSCH transmission, the DCI including a sounding reference signal resource indicator (SRI) field that includes two SRI values that each indicate one of a sounding reference signal (SRS) resource for codebook based transmission or an SRS resource subset for non-codebook based transmission and further including a transmission power control (TPC) command field that indicates a first TPC command that corresponds to a first closed loop index and a second TPC command that corresponds to a second closed loop index, wherein a first power control parameter set is indicated by a first SRI value mapped to the first SRI-PUSCH-PowerControl list and a second power control parameter set is indicated by a second SRI value mapped to the second SRI-PUSCH-PowerControl list, and wherein the mapping pattern indicates each PUSCH repetition associated with the SRS resource for codebook based transmission, or the SRS resource subset for non-codebook based transmission, and wherein a number of SRI-PUSCH-PowerControl lists is a same number as a number of SRI values;
• and
• receive the PUSCH transmission in the plurality of time intervals repeatedly, wherein a power of each PUSCH repetition of the PUSCH transmission is determined based on at least one SRI value in the SRI field, the configuration of the plurality of power control parameter sets, and the mapping pattern.

A method performed by a base station, the method comprising:

• transmitting a mapping pattern and a configuration of a plurality of power control parameter sets for a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) transmission, the PUSCH transmission configured to be transmitted in a plurality of time intervals repeatedly, wherein the configuration of the plurality of power control parameter sets includes at least a first SRI-PUSCH-PowerControl list and a second SRI-PUSCH-PowerControl list, each SRI-PUSCH-PowerControl list including at least one power control parameter set;
• transmitting a downlink control information (DCI) for scheduling the PUSCH transmission, the DCI including a sounding reference signal resource indicator (SRI) field that includes two SRI values that each indicate one of a sounding reference signal (SRS) resource for codebook based transmission or an SRS resource subset for non-codebook based transmission and further including a transmission power control (TPC) command field that indicates a first TPC command that corresponds to a first closed loop index and a second TPC command that corresponds to a second closed loop index, wherein a first power control parameter set is indicated by a first SRI value mapped to the first SRI-PUSCH-PowerControl list and a second power control parameter set is indicated by a second SRI value mapped to the second SRI-PUSCH-PowerControl list, and wherein the mapping pattern indicates each PUSCH repetition associated with the SRS resource for codebook based transmission, or the SRS resource subset for non-codebook based transmission, and wherein a number of the SRI-PUSCH-PowerControl lists is a same number as a number of the SRI values;
• and
• receiving the PUSCH transmission in the plurality of time intervals repeatedly, wherein a power of each PUSCH repetition of the PUSCH transmission is determined based on at least one SRI value in the SRI field, the configuration of the plurality of power control parameter sets, and the mapping pattern.
