Abstract
Methods and apparatus are provided. In an example aspect, a method in a first wireless communication device of transmitting data is provided. The method includes determining that each of a plurality of frequency ranges is free for a transmission by the first wireless communication device, selecting one or more of the frequency ranges, and transmitting the data using one or more frequency ranges other than the selected one or more frequency ranges.
Claims10
A method in a first wireless communication device of transmitting data, the method comprising:
- determining that each of a plurality of frequency ranges is free for a transmission by the first wireless communication device, the determining comprising performing a Listen Before Talk (LBT) procedure on each frequency range of the plurality of frequency ranges, the LBT procedure indicating that the frequency range is free for a transmission by the first wireless communication device;
- selecting one or more of the frequency ranges of the plurality of frequency ranges, the selected one or more frequency ranges having been determined as free for a transmission by the first wireless communication device;
- puncturing the selected one or more frequency ranges;
- and
- transmitting the data using one or more frequency ranges other than the selected one or more frequency ranges.
An apparatus in a first wireless communication device for transmitting data, the apparatus comprising a processor and a memory, the memory containing instructions executable by the processor such that the apparatus is operable to:
- determine that each of a plurality of frequency ranges is free for a transmission by the first wireless communication device, the determining comprising performing a Listen Before Talk (LBT) procedure on each frequency range of the plurality of frequency ranges, the LBT procedure indicating that the frequency range is free for a transmission by the first wireless communication device;
- select one or more of the frequency ranges of the plurality of frequency ranges, the selected one or more frequency ranges having been determined as free for a transmission by the first wireless communication device;
- puncture the selected one or more frequency ranges;
- and
- transmit the data using one or more frequency ranges other than the selected one or more frequency ranges.
