Coupled inductors inverter topology

A system comprising:

• a direct current (DC) power source configured to supply a DC voltage across a pair of input terminals;
• a first series connection comprising a first capacitor and a second capacitor, wherein the first series connection is connected across the pair of input terminals, and the first capacitor is connected to the second capacitor at a first terminal;
• a controller configured to control a plurality of first power converters;
• and
• the plurality of first power converters, wherein each of the plurality of first power converters comprises a plurality of second power converters that each comprise:
• a second series connection comprising a plurality of switches connected across the pair of input terminals;
• an output terminal coupled to an inductor and configured to output an alternating current (AC) voltage at a first frequency;
• and
• at least one diode connected between the output terminal and the first terminal,
• wherein inductors of each second power converter in a first converter of the plurality of first power converters are coupled to a common output terminal.
