An apparatus, the apparatus comprising:
- a housing comprising a body, a first cap and a second cap each receivable at opposing ends of the body, the housing forming a plenum between the body and the first and second caps, wherein one or more of the first cap or the second cap forms an opening;
- a mount plate affixed in the plenum to the body within the housing;
- a signal splitter device affixed to the mount plate;
- and
- a fiber optic cable stub extended through the opening of the housing, wherein the cable stub comprises an input optical fiber and an output optical fiber each operably connected to the signal splitter device.
A fiber optic distribution network, the network comprising:
- a fiber optic distribution cable;
- an end user;
- and
- a splice closure apparatus, the apparatus comprising:
- a housing comprising a body, a first cap and a second cap each receivable at opposing ends of the body, the housing forming a plenum between the body and the first and second caps, wherein one or more of the first cap or the second cap forms an opening;
- a mount plate affixed in the plenum to the body within the housing;
- a signal splitter device affixed to the mount plate;
- and
- a fiber optic cable stub extended through the opening of the housing,
- wherein the fiber optic cable stub comprises an input optical fiber operably connected to the signal splitter device and the fiber optic distribution cable, and wherein the fiber optic cable stub comprises an output optical fiber operably connected to the signal splitter device and the end user.
