- and
- a door configured to open and close at least a portion of the storage space,
- wherein the door comprises:
- a door body having an opening passing through in a front and rear direction, and
- a panel assembly that is mounted on the door body to cover the opening and defines a front surface of the door,
- the panel assembly being configured to transmit light such that the front surface of the door is expressed in a set color, and the storage space is seen through the opening,
- wherein the panel assembly includes:
- a panel that defines a front surface of the panel assembly and is made of a material configured to transmit light,
- a lighting device provided behind the panel and configured to emit light to make the panel glow with the set color,
- a light guide plate provided at a rear of the panel and configured to guide light emitted from the lighting device to the panel, and
- a reflective layer provided on a rear of the light guide plate and configured to reflect light guided along the light guide plate forward, and
- wherein the reflective layer includes:
- a first region that at least partially overlaps with the opening and is configured to allow the storage space to be seen through the opening, and
- a second region that is disposed along a perimeter of the first region and is more opaque than the first region to reflect more light forward.
A home appliance comprising:
- a cabinet that defines a storage space;
- and
- a door configured to open and close at least a portion of the storage space,
- wherein the door comprises:
- a door body having an opening passing through in a front and rear direction, and
- a panel assembly that is mounted on the door body to cover the opening and defines a front surface of the door, the panel assembly being configured to transmit light such that the front surface of the door is expressed in a set color, and the storage space is seen through the opening,
- wherein the panel assembly includes:
- a panel that defines a front surface of the panel assembly and is made of a material configured to transmit light, and
- a lighting device provided behind the panel and configured to emit light to make the panel glow with the set color,
- wherein the door body includes:
- a door liner that defines a rear of the door body,
- a front plate that defines a front surface of the door body, and
- a seeing-through assembly disposed between the door liner and the front plate to cover the opening, and made of a seeing-through material,
- wherein the opening is defined in the door liner, and
- wherein the front plate is made of a seeing-through plate-shaped material to cover a front surface of the seeing-through assembly.
