Abstract
An illumination device for a vehicle includes at least one light module for producing a light distribution. The light module has at least one light emission unit with at least one light source module. The light module also has at least one reflector unit with at least one reflector element. The light module also has at least one projection unit with at least one lens element. The light emitted from the light emission unit is at least partially coupled into the projection unit via the reflector unit.
Claims17
An illumination device for a vehicle, the illumination device comprising:
- at least one light module for producing a light distribution, the at least one light module including:
- at least one light emission unit with at least one light source module,
- at least one reflector unit with at least one reflector element, and
- at least one projection unit including at least three lens elements, wherein the at least three lens elements are arranged in a serial manner with regard to a main radiation direction (M2) of the at least one projection unit,
- wherein light emitted from the at least one light emission unit is at least partially coupled into the at least one projection unit via the at least one reflector unit,
- wherein a main radiation direction (M1) of the at least one light emission unit is inclined with respect to the main radiation direction (M2) of the at least one projection unit,
- wherein the at least one reflector element is an at least partially dome-shaped reflector element having a light exit opening, the at least one reflector element defining an inner surface having a first surface section and a second surface section, the at least one reflector element positioned such that the at least one light source module is at least partially enclosed by the first surface section,
- wherein the first surface section has a different curvature and/or a different inclination from the second surface section, and
- wherein the light exit opening is oriented essentially perpendicular to the main radiation direction (M2) of the at least one projection unit.
