Pyrazole carboxylate ester compounds have a structural formula of formula (I): Q is Q1 or Q3 The pyrazole carboxylate ester compounds has herbicidal activity and can be used for controlling weeds.

A compound of formula I:
- wherein:
- X1 is methyl or chloro;
- W is CX2;
- X2 is Y1 oxy;
- Y1 is C1-C6 alkyl, C1-C6 haloalkyl, C3-C6 cycloalkyl, or C3-C6 cycloalkyl C1-C6 alkyl;
- X3 is methylsulfonyl;
- Q is Q1 or Q3
- R1 is C1-C6 haloalkyl, C3-C6 cycloalkyl C1-C3 alkyl, or C1-C6 alkoxy C1-C3 alkyl;
- R2 and R3 are the same or different, and are independently selected from hydrogen, C1-C6 haloalkyl, C3-C6 cycloalkyl, and C3-C6 cycloalkyl C1-C6 alkyl;
- R4 is ethyl;
- and
- R5 is hydrogen or halogen.
