Abstract
Fertilizer compositions comprising urea and a mixture comprising one or more tannins, preferably tannic acid, and fluoride selected from the group consisting of sodium fluoride (NaF), potassium fluoride (KF), lithium fluoride (LiF) and combinations thereof are provided. Methods for mitigating ammonia, production and/or ammonia emissions and/or for mitigating the transition of urea to ammonia in a composition with the compositions are also provided.
Claims12
A fertilizer composition, comprising:
- (a) urea;
- and
- (b) a mixture comprising
- one or more tannins;
- and
- fluoride selected from the group consisting of sodium fluoride (NaF), potassium fluoride (KF), lithium fluoride (LiF) and combinations thereof;
- wherein the molar ratio between the one or more tannins and the fluoride is 100:1-1:1.
