Abstract
Systems, methods, and apparatuses for providing optimization of network resources. The system is operable to monitor the electromagnetic environment, analyze the electromagnetic environment, and extract environmental awareness of the electromagnetic environment. The system extracts the environmental awareness of the electromagnetic environment by including customer goals. The system is operable to use the environmental awareness with the customer goals and/or user defined policies and rules to extract actionable information to help the customer optimize the network resources.
Claims17
A system for spectrum management in an electromagnetic environment comprising:
- at least one sensor configured to measure the electromagnetic environment to create measured data;
- at least one data analysis engine configured to analyze the measured data to create analyzed data;
- a Multi-Access Edge Computing (MEC) layer in a wireless network, wherein the MEC layer is in communication with a radio access network (RAN);
- and
- an artificial intelligence (AI) module in communication with the at least one data analysis engine, wherein the AI module includes a machine learning algorithm configured to make predictions about the electromagnetic environment based on the analyzed data and/or a previously analyzed dataset;
- a massive multiple inputs multiple outputs (MIMO) system configured to serve at least one user in the electromagnetic environment;
- wherein the AI module is configured to predict and cancel signal noise of at least one signal transmitted or received by the massive MIMO system based on the predictions about the electromagnetic environment and a conditional entropy value derived from interference between a user in the electromagnetic environment and at least one other user in the electromagnetic environment;
- wherein the conditional entropy value represents a lost capacity a user in the electromagnetic environment experiences due to the presence of the at least one other user in the electromagnetic environment;
- and
- wherein the AI module is configured to use the machine learning algorithm for the prediction and cancellation of signal noise of the at least one signal transmitted or received by the massive MIMO system as the electromagnetic environment changes.
A system for spectrum management in an electromagnetic environment comprising:
- at least one data analysis engine configured to analyze measured data from the electromagnetic environment to create analyzed data, wherein the measured data includes at least one signal from the electromagnetic environment;

- a Multi-Access Edge Computing (MEC) layer in a wireless network, wherein the MEC layer is in communication with a radio access network (RAN);
- and
- a wireless network resource optimization application in the MEC layer;
- a massive multiple inputs multiple outputs (MIMO) system configured to serve at least one user in the electromagnetic environment;
- wherein the AI module is configured to predict and mitigate signal noise of at least one signal transmitted or received by the massive MIMO system based on the predictions about the electromagnetic environment and a conditional entropy value derived from interference between a user in the electromagnetic environment and at least one other user in the electromagnetic environment;
- wherein the AI agent is configured to use the machine learning algorithm for the prediction and mitigation of signal noise of the at least one signal transmitted or received by the massive MIMO system as the electromagnetic environment changes;
