Abstract
A thermal control system and transport container with a thermal control system for transporting a payload. The thermal control system comprises a case, and an intermediate floor dividing an interior space of the case in a first section and a second section. The thermal control system further comprises a first air passage arranged in the case and fluidly connecting the first section with an exterior environment of the case. The intermediate floor comprises a phase-change material and is configured to allow air to pass through the intermediate floor and to exchange heat with the phase-change material.

A thermal control system for transporting a payload, the thermal control system comprising:
- a case;
- an intermediate floor dividing an interior space of the case in a first section and a second section;
- and,
- a first air passage arranged in the case and fluidly connecting the first section with an exterior environment of the case,
- wherein the intermediate floor comprises a phase-change material and a plurality of at least one of channels, openings, and through holes which are each configured to allow air to passively pass through the phase-change material of the intermediate floor and thereby to exchange heat with the phase-change material without a ventilation device.
