Abstract
Provided is a fluidic device including a housing configured to receive a flow of water and including an outlet configured to dispense a flow of water, a flexible component comprised of a first material configured to be disposed within the housing, the flexible component including a base, a first leg extending from the base, a second leg extending from the base, and an opening extending through the first leg, and an insert comprised of a second material, different than the first material, the insert configured to be disposed within the housing between the first leg and the second leg, the housing, flexible component, and insert being configured to form at least one modular fluid oscillator when the flexible component and insert are disposed in the housing.
Claims17
A fluidic device comprising:
- a housing configured to receive a flow of water and including an outlet configured to dispense the flow of water;
- a flexible component configured to be disposed within the housing, the flexible component including a base, a first leg extending from the base, a second leg extending from the base, and an opening extending through the first leg;
- and
- an insert including a surface and one more walls protruding from the surface, the insert configured to be disposed within the housing between the first leg and the second leg,
- wherein the surface and the one or more walls are disposed adjacent to a surface of the first leg or a surface of the second leg, such that the surface of the insert, the one or more walls, and the surface of the first leg or the surface of the second leg define a flow path of a modular fluid oscillator when the flexible component and insert are disposed in the housing.
A fluidic device comprising:
- a housing configured to receive a flow of water and including an outlet configured to dispense the flow of water;
- a flexible component comprised of a first material and configured to be disposed in the housing, the flexible component including a passage configured to convey a flow of water and at least one surface including a cavity formed therein;
- and
- an insert comprised of a second material different than the first material, the insert including a surface and one or more walls protruding from the surface, the insert configured to be disposed in the housing, and a portion of the insert configured to be disposed in the cavity,
- wherein the one or more walls are disposed in the cavity, such that a modular fluid oscillator is formed along an interface between the insert and the flexible component.
A fluidic device comprising:
- a cylindrical housing configured to receive a flow of water;
- an outer circumferential ring disposed in the cylindrical housing;
- and
- an inner circumferential ring disposed within the outer circumferential ring, the inner circumferential ring including at least one channel disposed along an outer surface of the inner circumferential ring, the outer circumferential ring and the inner circumferential ring collectively forming at least one modular fluid oscillator.
