Eliciting preferences for passenger traffic group control

An apparatus, configured to:

• receive an indication of at least one user preference for a passenger traffic group system;
• determine a set of candidate control parameters for the passenger traffic group system, in response to receiving the indication of the at least one user preference;
• obtain a simulation result of the passenger traffic group system based on the set of candidate control parameters;
• and
• output at least one representative of the operation of the passenger traffic group system based on the simulation result,
• wherein the indication of the at least one user preference comprises an input of a relative importance between energy consumption and at least one passenger traffic performance indicator, and input of the relative importance is configured to directly configure weighting coefficients of a multi-objective optimization function, and
• wherein the apparatus includes a passenger traffic group controller, the passenger traffic group controller being configured with the set of candidate control parameters to provide control input to the passenger traffic group system to perform real-time call allocations in response to receiving a user acceptance of the output at least one representative of the operation of the passenger traffic group system.
