Transcatheter puncture needle system

A puncture needle comprising:

• a puncture tip configured to pierce tissue;
• and
• a distal portion comprising:
• an anchor portion comprising a first curved anchor portion and a second curved anchor portion;
• and
• a curved puncture portion comprising a first end associated with the puncture tip and a second end coupled to the anchor portion, the curved puncture portion and the anchor portion meeting at a distally oriented acute angle, wherein the anchor portion comprises a portion distal of the curved puncture portion,
• the first curved anchor portion and second curved anchor portion each comprising a shape configured to conform to a curvature along a length of a coronary sinus.

A puncture needle system, comprising:

• a puncture needle comprising a puncture tip and a distal portion, the distal portion comprising:
• an anchor portion, and
• a curved puncture portion comprising a first end associated with the puncture tip and a second end coupled to the anchor portion, the anchor portion comprising a portion distal of the curved puncture portion;
• and
• a delivery catheter comprising a lumen, the puncture needle extending through the lumen, and a side outlet opening on a distal portion of the delivery catheter configured to allow extension therethrough of at least a portion of the curved puncture portion, wherein the anchor portion extends through a distal portion of the lumen distal of the side outlet opening,
• wherein while the puncture needle is in a retracted state, the puncture tip is configured to be proximal of the side outlet opening and the anchor portion comprises a portion extending along the lumen past the side outlet opening and through the portion of the lumen distal of the side outlet opening.
