Abstract
A plant of variety NUN 13088 CUL is disclosed as well as seeds and plants and fruits thereof. NUN 13088 CUL is a Dutch long cucumber variety comprising high resistance to Podosphaera xanthii and Cucumber Green Mottle Mosaic Virus (CGMMV).

A plant or seed of cucumber variety NUN 13088 CUL, wherein a representative sample of seeds of said cucumber variety NUN 13088 CUL has been deposited under Accession Number NCIMB 44043.
A method of producing a cucumber plant with a desired trait, comprising mutating a plant or plant part of variety NUN 13088 CUL and selecting a mutated plant with the desired trait, wherein the mutated plant otherwise has all of the physiological and morphological characteristics of cucumber variety NUN 13088 CUL, wherein a representative sample of seeds of said cucumber variety NUN 13088 CUL has been deposited under Accession Number NCIMB 44043, and wherein the desired trait is male sterility, herbicide tolerance, insect resistance, pest resistance, disease resistance, Powdery mildew resistance without necrosis, environmental stress tolerance, modified carbohydrate metabolism, or modified protein metabolism.
A method of producing a modified cucumber plant, said method comprising mutating a target gene by targeted gene editing in a plant or a plant part of cucumber variety NUN 13088 CUL, wherein said target gene modifies a desired trait, wherein the desired trait is male sterility, herbicide tolerance, insect resistance, pest resistance, disease resistance, environmental stress tolerance, modified carbohydrate metabolism, or modified protein metabolism, and wherein a representative sample of seeds of said cucumber variety NUN 13088 CUL has been deposited under Accession Number NCIMB 44043.
