Sidelink discontinuous reception management for groupcast and broadcast

Abstract

Apparatus, methods, and computer-readable media for sidelink discontinuous reception (DRX) management for groupcast and broadcast are disclosed herein. A transmitter user equipment (UE) may determine one or more adjustments to a sidelink DRX configuration or DRX operation based on one or more factors of the transmitter UE, and transmit, to a receiver UE over a sidelink channel, during at least a portion of a sidelink DRX active duration, a first message comprising an indication of the one or more adjustments to the sidelink DRX configuration or DRX operation. A receiver UE may receive, from a transmitter UE sent to multiple UEs over a sidelink channel, during a portion of a sidelink DRX active duration, a first message comprising an indication of one or more first adjustments to a sidelink DRX configuration or DRX operation, and determine whether to respond to the indication based on parameters of the receiver UE.
