Playing media contents based on metadata indicating content categories

A system, comprising:

• one or more memories;
• and
• at least one processor each coupled to at least one of the one or more memories and configured to perform operations comprising:
• determining a profile of a user community, wherein the profile of the user community includes data collected about actions performed by users of the user community that were taken with respect to media content while being played back to the users;
• determining metadata associated with the media content to indicate a first portion of the media content to be of a first content category, and a second portion of the media content to be of a second content category different from the first content category, wherein the metadata includes information generated by machine learning based on the collected data included in the profile of the user community;
• and
• determining, based on the metadata and the profile of the user community, a first action to be performed for playing the first portion of the media content and a second action to be performed for playing the second portion of the media content, wherein at least one of the first action or the second action comprises altering at least one of an audio stream of the media content or a video stream of the media content.

A non-transitory computer-readable medium having instructions stored thereon that, when executed by at least a computing device, cause the computing device to perform operations comprising:

• determining a profile of a user community, wherein the profile of the user community includes data collected about actions performed by users of the user community that were taken with respect to media content while being played back to the users;
• determining metadata associated with the media content to indicate a first portion of the media content to be of a first content category, and a second portion of the media content to be of a second content category different from the first content category, wherein the metadata includes information generated by machine learning based on the collected data included in the profile of the user community;
• and
• determining, based on the metadata and the profile of the user community, a first action to be performed for playing the first portion of the media content and a second action to be performed for playing the second portion of the media content, wherein at least one of the first action or the second action comprises altering at least one of an audio stream of the media content or a video stream of the media content.
